Club History
Arsenal Football Club was founded in 1886 as Dial Square by workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, south-east London. The club moved to Highbury in 1913 and became one of the dominant forces in English football under Herbert Chapman in the 1930s. Under Arsene Wenger, Arsenal achieved the historic "Invincibles" season in 2003-04, going the entire league campaign unbeaten. Today under Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have re-established themselves as genuine Premier League title contenders.
