Club History

Atalanta BC were founded in 1907 in the city of Bergamo in northern Italy and spent most of their history as a modest mid-table Serie A side. The transformation under Gian Piero Gasperini since 2016 has been one of the most remarkable stories in modern football. Gasperini turned Atalanta into perennial Champions League contenders playing breathtaking attacking football, and the club won the Europa League in 2024 defeating Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
