Club History
Chelsea Football Club was founded in 1905 at the Rising Sun pub near Stamford Bridge and has become one of the most successful clubs in European football. The Roman Abramovich era beginning in 2003 transformed Chelsea into a global powerhouse, winning five Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies. The club's Champions League victory in 2012 in Munich and again in 2021 in Porto cemented their status among Europe's elite. Now under new ownership led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea continue to invest heavily in building a squad to compete at the highest level.
