Club History
RCD Espanyol were founded in 1900 and have always lived in the shadow of their more famous city neighbours FC Barcelona. The club moved to their modern RCDE Stadium in Cornella de Llobregat in 2009 after years at the Estadi Olimpic de Montjuic. Espanyol have a proud identity as "the other club" in Barcelona and have won the Copa del Rey four times. The club reached the UEFA Cup final in 2007 and have maintained a strong presence in La Liga despite the financial dominance of Spain's larger clubs.
