Club History
Everton Football Club was founded in 1878 and were a founding member of the Football League in 1888, making them one of English football's most historic institutions. The Toffees won nine league titles, with their golden era coming in the 1980s under Howard Kendall when they won two league titles and the European Cup Winners' Cup. The club has endured a trophyless run since 1995 but remains one of only six clubs to have spent their entire history in the top two divisions of English football. Everton are preparing to move to their stunning new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock on the Liverpool waterfront.
