Club History
Ipswich Town was founded in 1878 and rose to prominence under the legendary Sir Alf Ramsey, who led them to the First Division title in 1962 just a year after promotion. Bobby Robson then built on that success, guiding Ipswich to FA Cup glory in 1978 and the UEFA Cup in 1981 with a team featuring England stars like Terry Butcher and Paul Mariner. After years in the lower divisions, Kieran McKenna masterminded back-to-back promotions to bring Ipswich back to the Premier League in 2024. The Tractor Boys' return to the top flight after 22 years was one of English football's great modern fairy tales.
