Club History
RC Lens were founded in 1906 in the mining city of Lens in northern France. The club is deeply connected to the mining heritage of the Pas-de-Calais region and their fans are among the most passionate in French football. Lens won their only Ligue 1 title in 1998 and have consistently been one of France's best-supported clubs regardless of which division they play in.
