Club History
LOSC Lille were founded in 1944 from the merger of two Lille clubs and have become one of northern France's most successful teams. The club won a memorable Ligue 1 title in 2011 under Rudi Garcia, beating PSG and Marseille, and then stunned French football by winning the title again in 2021 under Christophe Galtier. Lille have also been a consistent presence in European competition and their modern Stade Pierre-Mauroy is one of France's finest.
