Club History
AS Monaco were founded in 1924 in the glamorous principality of Monaco on the French Riviera. Despite being based in a city-state with a population of just 39,000, Monaco have won eight Ligue 1 titles and reached the Champions League final in 2004. The club's incredible 2016-17 team featuring Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, and Fabinho won Ligue 1 and played some of the most exciting football in European history before the squad was dismantled.
