Real Betis Balompie were founded in 1907 and are one of the two major clubs in Seville, with their rivalry against Sevilla FC being one of the most intense derbies in European football. The club's greatest triumph was winning La Liga in 1935, and they have also won the Copa del Rey three times. Under Manuel Pellegrini, Betis qualified for the Champions League and won the Copa del Rey in 2022. The Benito Villamarin is one of the largest and most atmospheric club stadiums in Spain.
