Club History
Real Sociedad were founded in 1909 in the elegant Basque coastal city of San Sebastian. The club won back-to-back La Liga titles in 1981 and 1982, with the second coming on the last day of the season. Real Sociedad were the last Basque club to win La Liga and are known for their excellent youth development system and commitment to attractive football. Under Imanol Alguacil, the club have re-established themselves as regulars in European competition.
