Stade Rennais FC were founded in 1901 in the Breton capital of Rennes and are one of France's most consistently competitive clubs. The club won the Coupe de France in 2019, ending a 48-year wait for a major trophy, and have qualified for the Champions League. Rennes are known for their excellent academy and strong Breton identity.
