Club History
US Sassuolo were founded in 1920 in the small Emilian city of Sassuolo, famous for its ceramics industry. The club spent decades in the amateur ranks before the Mapei Group's investment in 2002 transformed them. Under the ownership of Giorgio Squinzi, Sassuolo rose from Serie C to become an established Serie A club, known for their attractive attacking football and exceptional player development.
