Club History
Torino FC were founded in 1906 and were the dominant force in Italian football in the 1940s with "Il Grande Torino" — one of the greatest teams in football history. Tragically, the entire squad was killed in the Superga air disaster of 1949 when their plane crashed into the Superga hill on the outskirts of Turin. The club has never fully recovered from the loss but remains one of Italy's most respected and beloved institutions.
