Toulouse FC were founded in 1970 in the "Pink City" of southwestern France, named for its distinctive terracotta architecture. The club have spent most of their history in the top flight of French football and won the Coupe de France in 1957 (as a predecessor club). Toulouse qualified for European competition in 2007 and have been a steady presence in Ligue 1.
