Club History
Valencia CF were founded in 1919 and have been one of Spain's most successful clubs, winning six La Liga titles and eight Copa del Rey trophies. The club enjoyed a golden era around the turn of the millennium, winning two consecutive La Liga titles in 2002 and 2004 and reaching two Champions League finals under Hector Cuper. Mestalla, their historic home since 1923, is one of the steepest and most intimidating stadiums in European football. The club has faced significant financial challenges in recent years under the ownership of Peter Lim.
